Writing

LI: to learn the persuasive tools in advertising.
This week for writing we had being advertising. We had a google slide and we had to write our owen answer and the first slide was doing as a group. We had to also look at the picture on the left hand side and we had to write the answers for the questions.

Reading

LI; To identify the main ideas in a text. LI to identify False truths To synthesis information for the CRAAP test.
For reading for our group we have to read a text called graffiti art or crime. After that we have to fill in our prior knowledge,new information and new understanding on the synthesis after we have to do the Qar. After you finish it
you record on flip grid.

Maths WIP

LI: To solve proportion and ratios problems.
For maths we were learning how to solve to solve proportion and ratios problems. For our commission we did was proportion facts quiz we have to put 10 question on the quiz.
This commission was Work In Progress.

Swimming

LI: to learn water safety and swimming.
In Susan group we were doing Submerging Floating on back Straight back and legs Floating on back with noodle Starfish Doggy paddle Dolphin dive.For the doggy paddle we have to have a noodle in front of us and kick the legs and act like a dog.For the dolphin dive we have to put our hands together in the air and dive like a dolphin.

Inquiry

In this session we investigate the pulley and its use to lift heavy things.

We were learning a simple machine that makes our work without climbing a letter or walking on stairs. That machine is called a pulley.

A pulley is a machine that lifts heavy things the the ground floor to another floor.

Kiwi can

LI:To focus more (not get distracted).
We learned how to not get distracted.
Distraction means fall out of focus.
Many things can distract us like people talking or physically annoying each other.
To learn about distraction we played a game called Distraction Circle.
Four people have to circle the middle person the four person has a job to distract the middle person. The hardest part to remember was the number one because we have to do the actions and we don't know what was the number because we have to be focus to the actions

Commenting

LI: to comment to each other.
Today I was commenting to Lukah he was doing good job but I want for him is to do the multiplication and division.

Swimming

LI: to learn water safety and swimming.
Today were learning how to save someone out of the water.;
We have to have a partner and get 1 noodle between both of us. After one of us go in the pool then they have to say "Help Me"! Then the other person had to lie down on the belly and drag the person from the pool that is drowning. After that we did the dolphin dive firstly we have to put our hands together in the air. Secondly we dive like a dolphin.

Today for SSR Selfie I was reading How to be a space explorer.
I have write main ideas and write 3 facts and new words that you learned

Maths WIP

LI: To earn and look after money by creating maths.
For maths we were learning proportions by using one tutorial.
After the tutorial we did the commission my group chose the proportions word problems.
We blog it in to a WIP.

Ihumatao

LI:To show our opinion on ihumatao.

We were doing the last slide we have to chose which side you want then 

you have to write your 1st 2nd 3rd points of your side.

Then we have to do the conclusion. After you have to show it to the 

teacher then blog it. 

Speech Competition Finals

Today it was the speech finals.
There were 12 kids that were in the finals.
The judge came to PBS to judge the speakers.
My favorite poem was Earth Day because we can make
the earth clean so we don’t have pollution in the ocean. 

We can pick up rubbish so the birds in the sky do not eat it.
My favorite speech was Fau’s because if we talk to a person
and if they answer to you and say something don’t ignore it
say something.

 LI: To develop knowledge of the Incline Plane

This week for inquiry we had to do An Incline plane is an angle with one side lower than the other and is used to transport objects and more. me and partners had to use toy cars and use Incline Planes to see how the toy car would react in action going down an Incline Plane.

There were tests using Incline Planes to see how it would make things easier to carry etc. We had to see how the Incline Plane would make it easier to carry a person in the class. Ong, Chris, etc. (Light people).

In partners/groups, we had to complete this draw explaining Inclined Planes, why Incline Planes make it easier to move things and an example of an Incline Plane in our everyday lives

Fix the poster

LI: To apply the print design rules.
This week for cyber smart we were learning how to fix the four areas of the print design rules on the posters. We have to fix the color and text for ten minutes and the rest for ten minutes when you are finish you have to show and blog it.

Kiwi Can

LI: to take Self Control.
For our activity we did four challenges. The first challenge was exercise the first was 5x of a sit up the second was 5x burpees the third was 5x of push up and the fourth was 5x of a squat. We have to do that for a minute. The second challenge was putting the Maori color words to the English we have to do all of it in one minute. The third challenge was writing the alphabet backwards and we have to it in 1 minute. The last challenges was doing the catch phrase in new actions.
The hardest challenge was the catch phrase in new action because we have to think hard to get some actions. We overcome it by getting ideas from our teammates and they share that ideas to us.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can was carrying on resilience and our topic was self control and self discipline. 

For our energizer we were doing rabbits and rats after we have to head shoulders knees toes.

If the kiwi can leader say toes you have to get the cone in the middle of us my partner was Joshua. 

Self control means controlling yourself and your emotion.

For our activity was Role plays we have to get a scenario and act it out.  

Cybersmart

LI: to identify the four areas of print design.
Today for cyber smart we were learning the four areas of the print
design after we have to make a copy of the slide then we we have to
put the slide to the Composition or Text or Color and layout.

The Lion King

Today we went to Ormiston Junior College to see the lion king performance.

My favorite character was Mufasa and one hyena and his name is Johnathon and Justin.

Ryan was the director of the performance and Luke was the principal of the Jr college.

Thanks to Ryan,Luke and Ormiston for inviting us to watch the lion king performance

Ihumatao

LI: to identify the main ideas in a text.
For reading this we had to get into our mixed groups, each person has to do one slide for some of the dates for Ihumatao. We had to the dates in chronological order. With also had to had what happened on that day and we had to add some information about what happened on that day for Ihumatao. I learned by doing the dates in chronological order and by writing what happened on that day

L.I.to learn about Rube Goldberg and his inventions
This week for inquiry we were learning about Rube Goldberg and his inventions first we had to make a slide and put on the five Ws what,where,when,why and how and it had to be about Rube Goldberg and how his inventions worked and how he made it.
After we were watching video that was made by Holden they were making a simple machine after watching the video our group have to join another group and make a simple machine by our body the first time that we did it was with no blindfolds and the  second time that we did it was with blind folds.

LI: to understand emotions.

Our theme was resilience and our topic was understanding emotion.

Our catchphrase is If you feel it, don't doubt just let it all out.

For our energizer it was emotion intensity we have to get one card and get 4 members that are the same meaning and match it then level it.

Our activity was emotion role play we to get 1 role play card then act it out.
