Adjectives

Adjectives are a describing words.

Adjectives have two functions.
The first function is to describe, the other function is modifying nouns into a phrase with a verb.

There are 3 kinds of adjectives; they are absolute, comparative and superlative.

Absolute adjectives describe something by itself like: shy, wise, miniscule and mysterious.

Comparative adjectives is a word that compares to other things like: shier, wiser, more miniscule and more mysterious.

Superlative adjectives is a word that is higher than other things like:  shiest, wisest, most miniscule and most mysterious.

Adjectives are written with an lowercase letters.

The Pato is the modern version of the lali. The designer that made the drum is Rachael Hall. 

When it was Rachael's last year of university she decied to make a instrument. The instrument that she want to make was the lali but Rachael made it with mordern age.

She used the lathe to shape the drum's body. The milling machine was used to carve out the channel.

The new innovation for the instrument were the pitch adjuster, volume dial and the omnidirectional microphone. The instrument that Rachael made is now called the Pato.
Pato means "to strike something" in Tongan.

The pato can be played with eletricity and without eletricity. Addition to that it has a microphone so it can be hooked up to a computer.
There is only one Pato so Rachael is working to make more on a daily basis.

I tooked a test to check my understanding of the article. I got 9 out of 27.

Nouns, Pronouns and Proper Nouns

There are three kinds of nouns; they are nouns, proper nouns and pronouns.

A noun is a name of a common word given to the object.

A proper nouns is a word to a unique object.

A pronouns is a general word given to a person or group.

Nouns are written with lowercase letters same as pronouns. Proper nouns are unique so they are written with a capital letter.

Visualising

Visualising is drawing an image map, mind map, or infographicabout text that is difficult to understand.

To visualise a difficult sentence, break it up into parts and then draw each part.

If there are any words that are unknown, they should be looked up in the dictionary. Children's are best suited for young learners.

Visualising is a good way to easily understand difficult texts.

Complex Sentences

A complex sentence is one full idea with an incomplete idea add on.

Complex sentence use the AAAWWUBBIS conjunction. The AAAWWUBBIS conjunction are After, Although, As, While, When, Until, Before, Because, If and Since.

Complex sentence are not complex. The conjunction are just weird.

First Waka

Originlly there were no people in New Zealand. The first people to settle New Zealand came in a series of waka.

The first ten waka were named Kurahaupo, Takitimu, Mataatau, Tainui, Te Arawa, Aotea,  Tokomuru, Horutua, Uruao, Arai-te-uru.

Most of the waka visited the North Island. Some of the places the waka land at were Te Awanui, Raglan and Takou bay.

The ten waka came to NZ to discover new lands for people to live.
