Explanation Vs Procedure


Explanation
Learn
We learn in LS1 to develop our knowledge.Also to build our prior knowledge.We learn in LS1 because when we learn we find out new information and facts.Also we need the knowledge that we learnt as we grow up so when we grow up we can understand more stuff when we are older.



Create
We create in LS1 by collaborate and by learning a new skill. We create in LS1 because we have to learn something new and create something new so we can learn something that we don’t know and that can help us build our prior knowledge so we can be creative when we are older.


Share
We share in LS1 by sharing one and other ideas to your friend. By talking to the teacher or your schoolmate and sharing your ideas.We share in LS1 because if we share our ideas,that might give our partner an idea and when we share idea we can learn new information and facts so when we are older it will be easier for us to find out information of facts.

Procedure

Learn:
First we have to get our chromebooks and sit in work space 1 or 2.
Next the teacher will give us a task for us to do.
After that we have to go sit at a table/seat and complete our task that our teacher told us to do.





Create
  1. Go on Google slide,doc and drawings
  2. Start your task
  3. Finish your task
  4. Show it to the teacher to be checked.



Share:
First we have to create a DLO
Next we have to show our teacher to check our title,label,blurb and LI
After that we can post on our blog so people can view our blog post.

LI: To use key vocabulary to unlock sentence and text structure.
Today for writing we have to write a explanation Learn,create and share and compare it to a procedure then you have to blog it. 

Capacity

LI: to learn place value  multiplication and tidy numbers.
Today we were learning about capacity. Capacity means that how much the object can weigh. We have to do a capacity task we have to measure eight bottle then we have to do a multiplication problems.

Maths



LI: to calculate the volume of objects by measuring water displacement
Volume is the amount an object can hold. We first had a task which was to measure a bunch of 3D shapes and find out how much water it can hold.

Stardome

LI: To learn about the solar system and the kind of weathers.
We went to Stardome to learn about planets and the kind weathers.
First we learned about the planets. John told us all the planets.
Next we did a quiz. We had to look around at the images to see the answer and putting the right answer on the ipad.

Last we learned the weathers on different planets by looking up on the dome.

Kiwi Can

LI: Doing things without being asked.
Our theme is Integrity and our topic is responsibility.
Our catchphrase: Kiwi Can says: Responsibility is what I am and that's the way of kiwi can.

Define: Spoke as a group about the different responsibilities we have to define what being responsibility is.

Activity:Using skipping ropes to balance the ball by working together. Once it was balanced perform a simple task by walking to the cupboard.

Kiwi Sport

LI:To develop body movement of Balance, Rotation and strength.
This week for gymnastic  we did our stretches and they were  L shape,Seal,Butterfly, Cat and Front,Back and Side support.

There were 3 rotation.

Rotation one: The beam: we have to walk backwards we have to look down at our feet when we reach the end you have tap your feet.
Box cartwheel:  you have to make a cartwheel actually you have to do the on a box.
Bench forward roll: If you can make a forward roll you can do it on a bench.

Rotation two: Half jump: You have to start from the wall jump on the spring then do a half jump.
Trampoline Starfish: Start on the white line then jump with two legs then to a starfish.
Backwards Roll: Put your hands on your head then roll like the front roll.
One leg Scorpion handstand:Do a handstand and take way one leg .

Rotation three: Parallel bars: Put your hands on the bars then do the L shape,Tuck and Straddle.
Back,Side and Front support: Put your leg on a box then do a front,back and side support.
Front support: Put your hands on a bar then push your body up.
Handstand:Do a handstand on a wall then take one leg for three second then do it with the other leg.

LI: What is a Cause and Effect?
Today we were talking about Cause and Effect. All the groups have to do a activity. The activity was that we have to make a Google Draw or Google Slide after we have to make a cause and effect in LS1.

Kiwi Can

LI: To use integrity and honesty.
Staying honest is not always easy but telling the truth or helping a friend to tell the truth thing must be done.

We did a drama activity to show people's emotion in different situation like when a lie is told or when you tell the truth.

Maori

LI:to learn about patupaiarehe fairies and the geography of aotearoa.
Patupaiarehe are fairies that live in forest. They have  powers like magic The patupaiarehe we learnt about today live on the dark and shadows.
We learnt about patupaiarehe the fariries and Eels migrate from river to sea by listening to the story Ihenga and searching for information and using Google Maps.

Gymnastics


LI: To explore our gymnastics skills.

Warm up: Stretches to make sure we were flexible
and wouldn't injury ourselves.

L Shape: Sit on your bottom stretch your leg in front of you
then put your hands up in the sky.

Back/front/side support: Put your hands on the ground  put you tummy on the ground and be like seal and arise your body up straight.You can do it on a side and back.

Butterfly wing: Put your feet together to make wings then
put your hands on you knees.

Tuck: Put your legs inside make a gap for your
whole the put face inside.

Seal: Put your hands on the ground
 put you tummy on the ground and be like seal.

There was three stations that were Support,Balance and Roll and Balance.
The one thing that I did for support was the stair bars
 if you are strong enough you can do it with you legs in front of you

Kiwi Can

LI: To define what honestly is.
Our theme was Integrity and our topic is Honesty.
Our catchphrase was "Speak to me truthfully,that's called Honesty"
Role play: in groups we were giving a situation about honesty. We needed to act out showing how to be honest.
A group of kids were playing catch all the sudden one kid throw the ball then the window was broken after kid that throw the ball tell to the parents tell the truth.


Maori

LI:To learn the geography of Aotearoa
LI: To identify what Patupaiarehe are.

Mount Maunganui is a mountain in Tauranga. The Hunua and Waitakere ranges are mountains in Auckland. Patupaiareheare fairies that lived on these mountains in Maori myths. I learned about the Patupaiareheare and mountains by listening to two stories. The legend of Mauao and the Turehu wars.
I learned where the mountains are by looking on google maps.

Sailing

Yesterday at school we went to Okahu bay.18 kids from LS1 went to sailing at ASC it was warm. The first thing that we did was setting up the boat it was a bit hard luckily we got some help from Justin, Steve and JR. The second thing was how to basically sail the boat. Two people have to be on the boat one of the people have to stir  the boat at the back of the boat one have to pull the rope to sail.
The third thing was sailing to the Sky Tower and back to base. Then we have to have turns on the big boat. Lastly we have a hunt and we have to go to the base after we have to change clothes then get our certificate.

Mt Maunganui

LI: To learn the legend of Mount Maunganui.

The legend of Mount Maunganui tells us how Mount Maunganui got dragged to its current place.
Whaea Odie read us the story of Mount Maunganui. We used Google maps to find the places in the legend. We used Google docs to remind us of the maori.
