SLJ/Day 2/ Activity 1
For this activity we had to compare and contrast Jean Batten and Amelea Earhart. Amelea was born in America. She hates wearing goggles and she sawed her first plane when she was 10 years old. Jean Batten was born in Rotorua. She died by an infection. her parents study music in England. They both brave and have confidant and they are both great flying solo.

Hi Davis, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the venn diagram you have created about two awesome aviators - do you want to be a pilot when you leave school, or maybe a flight engineer? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteKia ora David! Olive here - I'm a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey. How are you doing today? It's super windy where I am! I can see the palm trees outside my window blowing super crazily!
ReplyDeleteI love this activity! Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart are awesome women! They've done some pretty amazing things! I think you've done some great work here - I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about these aviators! Ka pai on a fantastic effort, you've created a wonderful Venn diagram! Did you know that Amelia once bought a yellow plane and named it "The Canary" - I've got an electric scooter and I've named it "Gale" like the wind in Frozen 2! Do you have any cars, or bicycles named?
Keep up the great blogging!
Ngā mihi,
Olive
