Summer Haiku

For this activty I had to make my own summer related haiku.

A haiku is a type of poet that has 5 syllables, 7 syllables and 5 syllables again.

My haiku is about eggs and how they can be cooked and how they are the best food in summer.

This activity was good and relaxing to write a summer haiku.

Wow, this haiku isn’t quite right but it doesn’t even matter to me because it’s so captivating in other ways! You’ve made a stunning image for your poem and the picture that is painted by your words is sublime, I’m really impressed!

Like I said though, you haven’t fulfilled the requirements of a haiku with the 5-7-5 syllables. Go back and count or ask some one else with you to double check about counting your syllables.

Keep on being so creative though David, it’s a treasure!

    Mā te wā

    Cheers,
    Ben
