Today it as the first day of Food Tech. The first day was about making a smoothie and a fruit salad. The teachers name was called Mrs Hecker

The ingeridents were 2 cups of milk, 1 cup of yogurt, a bowl of various fruits.

First we put the 2 cups of milk into a large bowl. Then got a chopping board to chop the fruits and put it in cups. After, we put the spare bananas into a blender with the yogurt and the milk to make the smooties.

When we put the fruits into the cups, Mrs Hecker poured some water into the cup.

After finishing we had to clean and polish our mess that we made. Then we were allowed to eat the smoothies and the fruit salad.

I enjoyed making these smoothies and fruit salad and learnt how to avoid cutting yourself by using a knife.

The first task was about doing a warm up about our addition. We had to write all of those in our mathes book.

Then, did addition and subtraction challenges. After, we made a DLO about solving a equation then made a screencastify about that.

What's Leadership?

This week we were learning about leadership. First, we  had to be in groups and the people in it suppose to be people that we never worked with. After, we had to write or define four words: Team, Leadership, Role Model and Responsibility.  Then,  we had to write words that define those 4 words under 2-3 minutes. After, we had to make a 25 word paragraph on a DLO.

Why is it important to be hydrated?

L.I to understand why staying hydrated is important for our healths and for our learning.

This week we learnt about hydration and dehydration. Being hydrated means you body has enough fluids to function properly and dehydration means you don’t have enough water for your body to function properly.

Our task was to define the meaning of hydration, dehydration and the effects they  have on our body. One fact That I found really interesting was that water carries oxygen to your cells.

Motivational Posters

This is the first task to get a silver Execellence and Innovation.

The first task was making three motivational posters using quotes from inspirational people to inspire people.

The first quote that I used was "We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes – understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.”by Arianna Huffington. I picked pictures to fit the quote. I did the same to the rest.

The second quote that I used was “When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” by Helen Keller.

The third quote that I used was "Your passion is waiting for your courage to catch up.” by Isabelle Lafleche.

This task was fun and quick to make and the people who the quote ar my favorite people.

Statistical Investigation

LI. To plan and carry out a statistical investigation

A pie chart is a circular statistical chart. Our task was to make a pie chart of what their favorite things. First e had to write the questions of what their things are.

Then, we had to go to each partner and tell all the questions and write what they answered.

After, we had to pick one question out of the questions that we asked to every partner.

Then we had a A3 piece paper and with that paper had to write the question after, we had to write all the words from one subject from the questions. After, we had to cut out the squares and glue it on the paper on top of the name of that answer that everyone gave you to answer the questions.

This task was pretty easy but hard at the same time because we had to collect a lot of data.

Summary Of The Treaty of Waitangi

The Treaty of Waitangi brings peace to New Zealand.  Our task was to read a article which was about The Treaty of Waitangi. When we were finished reading we had to use this summarising template to help us create a paragraph telling us some of the snapshot of the story of the treaty. This task was really fun because it got me to learn about the past and help me to learn how important it is for New Zealand.
